Sometimes, the restaurants that serve these will usually complement b\u00e1nh cu\u1ed1n with crispy potato shrimp tempura and deep fried mung bean batter cakes.<\/p>\n<p>OMG it\u2019s a flavorful heaven on a plate!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"superlist_2715090_1890248\">\n<h2>2. B\u00e1nh M\u00ec (Vietnamese Sandwich)<\/h2>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>French baguettes filled with goodness! B\u00e1nh X\u00e8o (Sizzling Pancake)<\/h2>\n<div>\n<div>\u00a0Crispy golden crepes of delectableness! GET IN MY MOUTH<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"superlist_2715090_1891598\">\n<h2>5. C\u01a1m T\u1ea5m (Broken Rice)<\/h2>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>This isn\u2019t just your normal everyday rice, this stuff is made from fractured rice grains! And always served with the yummiest sides to go along with it! NOM NOM is it lunchtime yet?!?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"superlist_2715090_1891306\">\n<h2>7. B\u00fan B\u00f2 Hu\u1ebf (Beef Vermicelli Soup)<\/h2>\n<div>\n<div>\u00a0If you\u2019re a little more adventurous, try this spicier version of ph\u1edf that has a bolder flavorful broth of beef rice vermicelli soup with lemongrass and pork.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>My mouth is watering, you guys!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"superlist_2715090_1891336\">\n<h2>8. B\u00fan Ri\u00eau (Crab and Tomato Noodle Soup)<\/h2>\n<div>\n<div>\u00a0For a lighter broth option, this is one of my favorites when it comes to home-cooked meals!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"superlist_2715090_1891420\">\n<h2>9. H\u1ee7 ti\u1ebfu (Rice Noodle Soup)<\/h2>\n<div>\n<div>\u00a0Known as Kuy Teav in Cambodia, this rice noodle soup dish can be made with a variety of ingredients. It can also be served dry (kh\u00f4) without the soup! Mmmm, it\u2019s so hard to choose what to get at a Vietnamese restaurant\u2026<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"superlist_2715090_1891709\">\n<h2>10. B\u00e1nh Canh B\u1ed9t L\u1ecdc (Thick Noodle Soup)<\/h2>\n<div>\n<div>\u00a0A soup with thicker noodles. If you haven\u2019t already noticed, there are TONS of variations when it comes to noodles and soup! SLURP SLURP SLURP<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"superlist_2715090_1891760\">\n<h2>11. Canh Chua (Vietnamese Sour Tamarind Soup)<\/h2>\n<div>\n<div>\u00a0Another one of those home-cooked meals that brings back nostalgic memories. This goes super well with a side of rice!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"superlist_2715090_1891443\">\n<h2>12. Ch\u00e1o (Congee\/Porridge)<\/h2>\n<div>\n<div>\u00a0The Vietnamese version of chicken noodle soup. I can always count on ch\u00e1o to get me through my colds and flu illnesses!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Serving suggestion: get some Chinese donuts (called Youtiao), break them apart and put it in the congee to eat with the soup. Vietnamese style fried rice has your typical veggies with bits of egg, cilantro and bits of super tasty sausage (l\u1ea1p x\u01b0\u1edfng). When I brought these home-cooked fried rice dishes to elementary school potlucks, it went FAST.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"superlist_2715090_1891652\">\n<h2>15. C\u00e1 Kho T\u1ed9 (Caramelized Fish in Clay Pot)<\/h2>\n<div>\n<div>\u00a0If you talk to a Vietnamese person, this is the ultimate in comfort food.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"superlist_2715090_1891623\">\n<h2>16. B\u00e1nh T\u00e9t (Sticky Rice Cake)<\/h2>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>More often found during the Vietnamese New Year (T\u00e9t, which gives these their suitable names), these savory sticky rice cakes wrapped in banana leaves are usually filled with mung bean paste or my personal favorites &#8211; the ones with banana and sweet red bean filling.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"superlist_2715090_1891805\">\n<h2>18. B\u00e1nh K\u1eb9p L\u00e1 D\u1ee9a (Coconut Pandan Waffles)<\/h2>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>If you haven\u2019t tried one of these wonderful gems, I FEEL SORRY FOR YOU.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"superlist_2715090_1891852\">\n<h2>19. Ch\u00e8 (Sweet Desserts and Puddings)<\/h2>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Too many to name when it comes to ch\u00e8 as there are so many varieties! But my personal favorite is the rainbow dessert (Ch\u00e8 S\u01b0\u01a1ng Sa H\u1ea1t L\u1ef1u &#8211; image shown above).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"superlist_2715090_1891874\">\n<h2>20. Ph\u1edf (Vietnamese Noodle Soup)<\/h2>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>DUH: I couldn\u2019t end a list of Vietnamese food without ph\u1edf!
